1988

Mr. Vipul Pandya always wanted to have his own business set up but the same didn’t happen till this year when he suddenly quit his job and using his entrepreneurship skills came up with a unique idea to establish a business of IT Accessories in Mumbai. He started a proprietorship firm which mainly dealt in assets likewise only Cartridges, Ribbons, and Floppy Drives and computer stationeries under the brand name Mega Matrix with 2 other members.

1998

Director realized that this business might take a slump in future and wanted to expand diversify the product line. So After 10 years, Promoters of this company decided to come up with a new proprietorship and formed Rent-A-Computer with the strength of just 1 employee. Here, began actual journey of RAC where along with trading IT equipment sand stationaries, we also started renting out assembled and branded IT equipment like Dot Matrix Printers & Desktops. The opening year recorded a turnover of Rs. 1.33 Lacs. Although business was started with just 10 laptops and desktops to serve our 15 esteemed clients.

2000

This was also the year of dot com burst and it was realized that India was going to see huge rise of IT in India. More types of assets were added in inventories i.e. Assembled Servers, IBM Servers. Team Size increased from 1 to 4.Rent-A-Computer now crossed a turnover of 1 cr. In the year 2000-01.

2002-03

This was the first year where we thought of expanding our business out of Mumbai and a new branch was inaugurated at Pune in the year 2000. As a result client count rose from 15 – 35 and also lead to rise of inhouse inventory of branded equipment’s.

2005

RAC now reached out of Maharashtra by inaugurating new offices at Bangalore & Kolkata with team size expanding to 30 employees. Delivering IT Assets for Rent in Southern eastern and Western part of India was possible now.Launched our website www.racwg.com which increased our presence on web and got jump in number of client served from 35 to 75.

2007

Now officially Rent-A-Computer got a golden opportunity to handle all IT Assets of Elecrama Exhibition. Rent-A-Computer achieved its turnover to Rs.7 Cr in 2007-08.

2008

Rent-A-Computer company was now incorporated into Pvt. Ltd. But initials of the company name were still retained as we started company called RAC IT Solution Pvt. Ltd on 08/04/2008 and the team size increased from 31-81 employees over the period.
In the same year a new branch at Chennai was opened. Now RAC Group was formed with the collaboration of both the companies Rent- A-Computer & RAC It Solutions Pvt. Ltd and Client portfolio also dobled to 150. RAC began promoting and renting of only branded IT Assets i.e. Dell, Lenovo, HP, IBM.
By this year we started giving Unix & Linux Servers as well as Unix & Linux OS for Rent.Now our man power gradually increased to 80 employees.

2012

By this year RAC had Delivered IT Assets to more than 20 different cities and looking to penetrate more states and cities across India. We started renting new as well as exisiting inventory on short term period of 1 day to long term period of 3 years. Gradually started configuring and renting all IT Assets on demand.

2014

Our Company got a boost when we got acknowledged by an Aditya birla group company for the service support provided to entire group of companies over the year across India. This was our first step to grand achievement where our director was facilitated as prime vendor within this renowned group.

2015

A new group company RAC INFRA RENTAL LLP. was started with vision to rent infrastructure services along with all IT for rental basis where the concept of providing services in case of emergencies, BCM as well as starting your own company or project in minimum time gap.
We expanded our business in Delhi branch and delivered IT assets on rental basis to more than 50 cities and 15 states across India. RAC achieved silver jublee turnover figure of 25 Cr. RAC also started featuring on all social and media channels to increase presence online across web.

2017

Has also Received CRISIL SME 1* Rating. And with the expansion of business at Hyderabad.RAC Group started their office at Noida on May-2017 & Airoli (Mumbai) office on Dec-2017 to serve and cater existing and new clients to widen the horizon and to reach out for their rental needs. By this time our employee strength increased and we came up with our own premises in the year 2016-17 with a sitting capacity more than 75+ employees in Mumbai.
The Participation in Exhibitions like Event Guide, CC Industries MIDC, and India Packaging Show have provided a smooth pavement towards our goal in this industry.

2018

We also got revamped of website. Our More & More presence on Social Media had a good reflection on our progress. All total we have participated in 10+ Exhibitions.
RAC Group companies is currently serving more than 450 live clients.
Till date we have been possible to build a team of more than 175+ members in 7 locations and not only this we are successful enough to satisfy our clients in various states, towns and cities all over in India.
Two more offices at Bangalore (white field) and Chennai were opened in Dec’18 to provide more & more services to our new and existing clients.
Possibly With the count of 400 servers, 8000 CPU’s, 6000 Laptops etc. RAC Group (RAC IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. & RAC Infra Rental LLP) are deployed in overall a budget of approximate 29193 IT Assets.
Now all the branches of RAC Group’s situated in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bengaluru are provided with huge inventories of all IT Assets.
At the end I would only rest my words by saying that, Achievements is not only our goal, but becoming our clients first choice will make us real Successors. We are moving forward with a target to achieve Rs.50 Cr turnover till 2020-21.

2020

Started new branch at Ahmedabad.
